my plea to you to help me come up with something else to post about

So, I mentioned that I was going to take a posting Pa-oo-say (pause - in "French") in the last post, but here I am again. I snagged a few minutes to relieve some of my anxiety about going home (on Wed.) and returning to the blogging world. I just have to tell you I'm a little stressed out about going home. Sure, I'll have some cute pictures and a couple of stories to share with you, but we haven't been anywhere exotic like Turks and Caicos or Fiji or anything like that. We've more or less just been visiting family, which is AWESOME, but not exotic.

As we've been away for a bit, I've been pondering over what to post next, and I've come up with....NOTHING. I am void of any useful material. Completely void. This is what has gotten me stressed out. I expected my vacation to produce some wonderful blog fodder, but instead, I feel more empty than ever. I realize that there is an ebb and flow to posting, but I'm really ebbing right now.

With that said, I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions that you all have about what I could maybe write about over the next few posts (after I tell you about the exotic vacation of course). Or perhaps you have more questions for me - I really enjoyed the last Q & A.

I appreciate you still wanting to read after my August posts have proved themselves completely LAME thus far. I'm hoping its only a phase and that "this too shall pass".

Oh sweetie - we all hit that point. I have... I write stuff and think it's about the lamest thing ever. Then I sit down and ask myself why I'm blogging... for me it's not to entertain people, but to remember and process for myself....

Thursday is the first day of school around here. What's your best first day of school memory? What's your worst school memory? What were the names of your teachers? Did you ever have a trapper keeper you ADORED???

Ha - I love HotTub's q's. Very inspiring --- that's why I write, I have to remember that! I want to share stories with my kids that just might never be told if I don't do them this way. It's better than keeping a journal in my opinion. I tried a day-by-day photo journal up until I started my blog. I'll just admit the first half is blank. Then I did really well for about 3 weeks, then I found blogging. It'll come back to you. I'm in the same boat, sort of. Just kind of 'burnt out' on it all
...transitioning to a new time again with kids back to school. I hate change.

heLLO...what could be more exciting to talk about than your visit with me. What about the ham sandwiches we ate? What about our trip to Barnes & Noble? What about our nap on the couch? Are you telling me that people won't read this and totally recognize us for the rock stars that we are??? As if.

You are not lame! For one, you have Marc Cohn singing to me right now and can I just tell you how much I love this song? "...tell me are you a Christian, child, and I said, 'Ma'am I am tonight!'" AWESOME.

And in that vein, one of the things I love best about you is your fabulous taste in music, particularly 80's tunes. We are kindreds that way...soul sisters...jukebox DJs. That's me & you.

So...share with us some of your favorites from the decade of neon, jellies, ripped sweatshirts, Swatch-Watches and Guess jeans. Please.

I'm right there with ya! Seems like I've been so busy just...living...that I'm not documenting it! Sometimes that's okay though. All of your bloggy friends will still be here when the break is over.
I do like writing about childhood memories. Or a rant. Although I try to keep my rants to a minimum, but they can be funny!

Just keep posting through the bloggy block. Best advice I ever got. Just keep posting...don't stop.

About 2/3 of our vacations are visits to family in GA and FL. Thankfully there are some fun things to do in the vicinity!

What are some vacations you dream of taking in the future when the redhead gets bigger? What were your favorite family vacations growing up?

So, a good ol case of Blogger's Block. I'm glad I'm not the only one. ;) You'll come up with something, Caro, and it will be great. Whatever it is.
