On Tuesday, the redhead and I were working on the hubby's Father's Day gift (I'll show you after Father's Day what I did - he does read my blog). I was doing most of the work - what good are 20 month olds with craft projects? - and I guess the redhead felt neglected since all my attentions were upon the project at hand because he got really whiny. Once I got to a stopping point, he said "up" and held his hands up to me. I scooped him and bear blanket (the all important security item) into my arms. Recently the redhead and I have done all kinds of dancing, so I started to sway to the music with him. The Whitney Houston version of "I Will Always Love You" began playing on the radio and we continued to sway. He laid his head on my shoulder while Whitney serenaded us with her ever so fantastic voice. I was singing quietly to him (he likes that) and looking into his sweet little face when Whit started singing this verse:
And I hope you have all you dream of
And I wish to you joy and happiness
But above all this, I wish you love...
I did have the presence of mind to grab the camera while the song was still playing and snap a picture to commemorate this "one moment in time". Here we are...

7 coins in my pocket:
Aww! How precious!
Truly precious. Those are the moments that make the the whining seem to disappear and not matter. Cherish!
That is so precious! I am taking time from cleaning my classroom (it's getting there!) to check in. BTW, thanks for the laugh yesterday on voicemail...truly funny!
You're right...it's priceless.
what a precious moment :) thanks for sharing!
Caroline, thanks for sharing this moment. It was good for me to hear this today...as Monster Mommy is working on a comeback. And while I'm here, can I just say I was singing the words along with you to Jem and the Holograms. I never owned her, however. She was Barbie's arch rival so, you know...I had to stay loyal to my girl.
I too am a mommy to two redheads. Mine are quiet a bit bigger than yours, however :)
Whitney's My Love is Your Love is my 8 year old and my song. Oh, the dancing we did when he was your little man's age...
