Lately, the Redhead has been saying the most precious things. Things that are too cute to pass over. And since I am terrible at scrapbooking and don't write things down (even though I say I will), I'm chronicling some of his famous phrases here on the blog.
On Wednesday, April 8 as I was witnessing the miraculous birth of my first nephew, Redhead was asking his sitter "Auntie Sue" (a family friend my mother's age) if she had a baby in her tummy. He then instructed her to take small bites of her lunch because that's what we tell him.
In the grocery store last week we picked up some strawberries. I smelled them and then told the Redhead to smell them too. He sniffed and said..."Dewishous". I about fell out laughing. He then proceeded to comment on the "dewishous gwapes" also.
Redhead asked for "ghettioes" (spaghettios) for lunch and then commented on the "whaa-which" (sandwich) I had made for myself. He did ask if it was a "pea-hutter" (peanut butter) whaa-which, which only made me laugh harder. Only in our world would a pea-hutter whaa-which exist. I love it.
One of my all time favorites is the way he says "vacuum cleaner". Redhead calls it the "gapoon cweaner". I hope that never changes either. Maybe I should just teach him the wrong way of saying things so he'll be cuter longer. It could very well work.
He's requesting that I "pway trains" at the moment, so I better run be with my little man while I have these days.

11 coins in my pocket:
Big J used to say "gwapes". We were joking with him the other day about it. He said "gwapes....grapes". Frank used to say it wrong, then right and have J do it too...too cute!!! My favorite that J said for the longest time..."Hengry". You know, Henry, Thomas's friend? Love you girl!
He is such a cutie.
It is precious how words come out of their little mouths! He is a cutie!
I love the things that come out of kids mouths.
Just the other day Lauren asked for a second piece of cheese toast. My mom said to her,"Here you go. This last piece has your name on it." Lauren looked puzzled at my mom and said, "I don't see my name on this."
I really need to journal, too.
Oh how I love that! Bethany called hamsters monsters and the umpire (which was really referring to the catcher) the vampire. If they could just stay little a little longer!
too, too sweet!
:)
Karin
I so dig him.
Is that hat your new, stylish form of protective headgear?
p.s. When Lib was this age, she referred to vanilla as "tu-nilla." And Diego was "Tu-ay-go." To this day we say, "Want to get a tu-nilla shake?" or "Y'all wanna watch "Tu-ay-go?" And people look at us like we're crazy. Which we are, of course.
I just LOVE the way kids say things at this age. I'm like you... I almost wish they wouldn't start saying it the correct way.=)
Well, I'm thinking that all that adorable vocab goes perfectly with that head of red hair!!!
Blessings!
That is sooo sweet!!
What a cute kid and yes enjoy this time cause it gets really crazy when two come along. I sure hope that you are doing okay.
